The Texas State Board
of Podiatric Medical Examiners is the state agency entrusted with the
responsibility of licensing Podiatric Physicians and regulating the
practice of Podiatric Medicine in the State of Texas.

interact with the Board on the Internet. As you navigate this site, it
is our goal that you are able to access information of public interest
describing the functions of the Board and it’s regulation of the
practice of Podiatric Medicine.
HEALTH PROFESSIONS
COUNCIL
Pursuant to Texas Occupations Code Chapter 101, the Texas State Board
of Podiatric Medical Examiners is a member of the Health Professions
Council (HPC). The HPC is composed of a variety of healthcare licensing
boards; the council's mission of which is to coordinate regulatory
efforts amongst the various boards represented on the HPC. To view more

STANDING REGULATORY NOTICES FOR LICENSEES:
1. All licenses expire annually by
November 1st. Licenses not renewed by this deadline are
subject to all administrative and criminal penalties of "Practicing
Without A License." Renewal notices (postcards) will be mailed in
September of each year to your last known address of record. We
recommend that licensees keep their addresses current by notifying the
Board through the "Primary Mailing Address" link. We also encourage all
licensees to renew On-Line and to continually update your Physician
Profile. It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to renew your license on time!
2. You must have obtained your 30 hours
of C.M.E. each biennium in order to renew your license. If you were
originally licensed in an "Odd" year, your C.M.E. biennium begins on
November 1 and ends on October 31st of the next odd year. If
you were originally licensed in an "Even" year, your C.M.E. biennium
begins on November 1 and ends on October 31st of the next
even year. For example, John Doe, D.P.M. was originally licensed in
2003. His C.M.E. biennium is 11/01/2003 - 10/31/2005 and follows
thereafter. Jane Doe, D.P.M. was originally licensed in 2004. Her C.M.E.
biennium is 11/01/2004 - 10/31/2006 and follows thereafter. All
licensees are subject to random C.M.E. audits in accordance with Board
rules.
